A friend of mine wanted to get some photos of her adorable family to give to her mom on Mother's Day. It ended up being a really fun session and I just love how the photographs turned out! Spring is such a pretty time in Sacramento and we chose Land Park for the backdrop. Flowers were blooming everywhere and Cassandra chose sweet and simple outfits that complimented the light and airy feel perfectly.
All the plans were in place. Family visits were scheduled, plane tickets were purchased and childcare was set up. The hospital bag wasn't packed yet and the car seat still needed to be cleaned and installed, but the Hudsons still had time. At least that's what they thought!
I always like to hear the stories behind the names of new babies. Keyani Alannah has a good one. Her mother, Jasmyn, is an infant teacher and once had a student named Keyani. She always loved the name, but when she looked up it's meaning she knew it was perfect for her baby girl.
Ready or not, "little guy" is on the way for the Rupprecht family! I'm calling him little guy because he still doesn't have a name. In fact, his parents say the list of names is getting bigger rather than smaller! He's due later this month and Jennifer and Paul hope to have a name picked out before he's born. I know how hard that is, so good luck to them!
Instead of getting the whole family photo ready, packing a bunch of bags and hauling everyone to a park, a client asked if I would come to her home for her son's three month photo shoot. I was there for the newborn shoot and knew Jill and Adam have a great front and backyard and the lighting would be good, so I was happy to meet them there. There's no place like home, right?
If you've ever taken your kids to Fairytale town, you know what it's like. There are a ton of little kiddos running around, sliding down things, eating snacks, laughing, crying, whining, whatever. It's always fun but a little crazy if you ask me! If you're a kid though, it's pure awesomeness for the same reasons. You get to run around, eat snacks, yell, scream, laugh, cry and be crazy. That's what my little buddy, Trey, got to do for his one year session and I got to capture it on camera.
At 33 weeks pregnant, this momma looks amazing and says she feels good too! Jamie is expecting her second daughter, Elliot Grace, at the end of March. Big sister Harper, who is 3 1/2, can't wait to meet the baby in her momma's belly. She already nicknamed her little sister Elliot Belliot. How adorable is that?! Harper is sassy, silly and smart and definitely added some flair to this session. She gave me all sorts of adorable looks and I caught some cute moments between her and her momma. She is going to be a fun big sister!
I began taking photos for the Baughmans when their little girl turned two. At that point Jill and Adam had just found out they were pregnant with baby # two. Eight months or so later made some beautiful maternity photos and then I finally got to meet the little guy in the November.
